RETREAT DAY 3: Closing Reflections

The retreat ended with a boat ride around Lake Kawaguchi. Mt Fuji was in view here and it was my Son’s favourite part of the retreat.

We had been discussing wanting to visit the Shrine in the middle of the Lake earlier that morning but weren’t sure if we could fit it into the day. While my Father-in-Law was driving, he turned too early into a random driveway and scratched the underside of the car.

We pulled over and got out of the car while he sorted things out with the hire car company. As we explored our surroundings, it turned out we were meant to stop there because the boat dock was a 5 minute walk from where we got out.

(In the end, everything worked out with the hire car company, who were really nice about the scratches and we didn’t end up having to resolve any extra costs with them too.)

This retreat was a massive success! Seeing the ways that everyone connected and participated was really inspiring to me and gets me excited for the next one! We have already begun to receive some signs about it so for now, all we need to do is hold the intention, take guided action and make it happen!

I really love the way that I was able to work with my family team in this retreat and everyone could deliver through their strengths. I loved that my Son came along and Mihana-Chan came too because it added playful elements to our retreat, which delivers a really significant reminder to me about making things fun and being a role-model to Children, who are in essence, the future. In order to preserve the teachings that we have been given, we need to pass them on to the next generation and this is one of the ways that I can do this for my Son.

I’m feeling really inspired to write and create more, especially around my work with Vibrational Essences.

In the coming weeks, I am painting my visions from the destinations we visited during our Oshino Hakkai Retreat, which will serve as portals and anchors for the energy experienced there.

Once I've finished these "Sacred Journey" Artworks, I'll be releasing my version of the Oshino Hakkai Vibrational Essence.

RETREAT DAY 3: Ryugu Doketsu

On the last day of retreat we had some schedule changes and it felt necessary to return to this cave with a final blessing and prayer to add a finishing touch to the Vibrational Essence, which I heard described to me as “the seal of the Dragon”.

I love that everyone took their shoes off here for the grounding and connecting to the energy of the Dragon’s body, along the rocky trail leading into the surrounding cave grounds.

(Recently, I was informed that this cave is a highly sacred place that is not often open to visitors.
Typically, people can only visit this place with a guide.)

We had one last circle here and I loved seeing how much everyone had connected and bonded over these past 3 days. I described it as “everyone entering the circle as acquaintances and everyone leaving the circle as family”

The ways that this group had connected was beyond emotions and experiences. They were connected by Soul, through co-creating in Nature, which to me, is truly the Heart of where Magic exists.

Going into the Heart of this Dragon’s Cave was breath-taking! Words alone simply cannot express the sensations of being inside of this cave but it was well and truly a place of comfort, safety and strength.

Praying at the shrine here with my Wife and Sister, I felt so much gratitude here for them both; being able to be there with them, to share the space, co-create, co-facilitate and be there to guide, support and teach one another.

RETREAT DAY 2: Essence Making

When we returned to our accomodation, we taught the group to blend a Mother, Stock and Dose of the essence that we had prepared at Oshino Hakkai.

For me, this was the first Vibrational Essence that I had made since 2013. I had taught Miyuki how to make Vibrational Essences as it felt like it was a skill she was born to do. Working alongside her in this way was incredible and felt like a full circle!

Vibrational Essence is a unique way to appreciate and connect with Water in that the Water’s energy and molecular structure changes through the ways that we work with it. Water can adapt and change according to the way that we treat it.

(The work of Dr Masuru Emoto is a great example and further explanation in this concept)

Water may look and taste like water to the unaware, however the feeling and experience of connecting with Water in this way can be powerful and life-changing in the ways that you can alter the Water inside of you and effectively, shift your own Energy into different directions, new possibilities and beyond your own awareness.

I loved that I was able to make a Vibrational Essence with my Son so that he could experience the whole process too! As keepers of these skills, it's important that we pass this on to the future generations, who can also benefit from working with a range of methods for healing of people and the planet.

I’m really amazed with how everyone’s essences turned out as well as the valuable insights that each person received throughout this whole process. Truly, I’m humbled and grateful to be a part of each person’s journey in this way.

Making Vibrational Essences during my travels is something that wove a significant amount of purpose and intention into my adventures.

This retreat has reignited my passion to craft Vibrational Essences again!

In the coming weeks, I'll be processing some Doses of this Vibrational Essence and will have it available for purchase and distribution worldwide.

RETREAT DAY 2: Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai is a world-heritage site; a village near Mt Fuji which is known for its several ponds that originate from the melted snow of Mt Fuji.

You can actually collect and drink some of this water and many pilgrims visit this place to do just that!

It was a beautiful place to visit and interesting to learn about the history and culture of this place and its connections of the 8 sacred ponds to the 8 Dragon Kings. I could feel the sacredness of this place as soon as I set foot here and could feel very welcomed by the land and spirits here.

It was here at Oshino Hakkai that we collected our water from the Spring that became the Base Water for the Vibrational Essence that we were teaching our group to make.

Tasting one sip of this water, you could really taste how clear and rejuvenating this water was!

We visited the different ponds and conducted a ritual at one of the quieter ponds to combine the collected Energy (from yesterday’s locations) and charge the sacred Water that we gathered here.

Each person had their own glass jar to charge their water with crystal. It was uncanny and miraculous, that mine and Kumi's jars were stuck together and wouldn't separate, so we made a double essence in the one jar.

In our next post I'll be reflecting on the essence making back at our retreat accomodation.

RETREAT DAY 1: Hanoshira Taki

We took the group to the nearby Hanoshira Taki (Waterfall) which is where Pilgrims used to visit to purify themselves before climbing Mount Fuji.

I love that our group was so open to walking barefoot to this waterfall to ground themselves and connect with the land as well as experience a kind of initiation into the sacredness of this place.

It was great that my Son was introduced to his friend, Mihana-Chan, who was very adventurous with him and was able to explore, run and splash around here with him at this waterfall.

I took some of our group members to sit under the waterfall to connect with the water.

There is something magical, mystical and magnificent about sitting under a waterfall and feeling the force of the water moving through you! This place felt Other-Worldly!

When I connected with the water here, I saw a vision of an enormous Blue Water-Dragon splashing its tail to send the water downstream and when I emerged from this Waterfall, I felt so clear and cleansed in Body, Mind and Spirit.

If you look carefully and closely at the image below, you can see the faint outline of a dragon's face in the centre of the waterfall itself.

Nature shows us some amazing things!

RETREAT DAY 1: Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine

We picked up the hire car and all the members of our group and headed to our first destination, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine.

This shrine was surrounded by so much forest and I love that there were so many trees here. Japan has something very special with the presence of trees at each Shrine.

Even when there is no Wind to be felt, you can feel the life and energy of the trees in the air as you pass by.

I love that everyone was able to take their shoes off and soak their feet in the waterway by the entrance as a cleansing before going into this place. The water was cold and welcoming!

This Shrine features two Cedar Trees that are over a thousand years old, which gives a bit of insight into how long Mount Fuji has been venerated by the local people and pilgrims alike.

Back in the Edo Period, pilgrims could begin their trek to the top of Mount Fuji from a small gate at the back of this Shrine.

After exploring this Shrine and praying here, we conducted our opening ritual for the retreat group to welcome them into the shared space together.

This particular location of the Shrine grounds was like our initiation space for our group members.

During our opening meditation, I perceived a Golden Dragon emerging from the summit of Mt Fuji which I took as a sign of radiant blessings, growth and rejuvenation from this retreat and the Vibrational Essence that would come out of this.

Oshino Hakkai Retreat DAY 1 Ryugu Doketsu

Prior to meeting everyone on the first day of retreat, Miyuki, Kumi and I went to Ryugu Doketsu (Dragon's Cave).

The moment that I arrived here, I knew that I needed to take my shoes off and connect with the rocky ground here. Not only was this very grounding and noticeable on my feet, but I could perceive this as the actual body of the Dragon that dwelled here.

Following the trail of Earth, Rock and Soil, at the entrance of the cave, we did a prayer and through an opening meditation, I received a vision of a Grand-Earth Dragon, looking very aged and full of wisdom. I could see that the Dragon’s body was illuminated along the trail and felt long and bumpy, with the Heart and Soul of the Dragon residing within the cave itself.

Going deeper into the cave, the presence of the Dragon’s energy could be so easily felt. The soil felt ice cold and soothing, yet there was a strong feeling of comfort and nourishment and like we were in another world.

From the moment I connected with this place, I knew that the Dragon energy through the retreat would be significant and strong.

Oshino Hakkai Retreat Reflections (INTRODUCTION)

After booking my flights to return to Japan in mid-September to mid-October, I told my Sister Miyuki.

I suggested that we meet up with the possibility of making an essence together at a sacred place in mainland Japan. Miyuki and I discussed the possibility of travelling somewhere near Mount Fuji, which then eventually developed into facilitating a retreat together around Oshino Hakkai.

This was really exciting for me as it was the first retreat that I would be facilitating and I was doing it with my family team!

One week before our retreat began, I was on the train passing through the Nigata region. I was looking out of the train window and could see the ocean. Suddenly, I could hear the sound of Dolphins and the next day, I visited the Nigata Aquarium where I watched a Dolphin show and my Son bought a Dolphin plush toy.

The Dolphin signs kept coming and often reminded me of play and joy, which I could associate with our upcoming retreat. I shared this with Miyuki, who had also been seeing a lot of Dolphins in the lead up to our retreat.

Also on the day that retreat began, our designated meeting place had a Dolphin wind chime.

The Dolphin had become the official totem animal of our time together.

Mermaid Tour in Miyako Island

Last weekend, my dear friend Lucy, from Sydney, Australia, held her mermaid retreat in the Miyako Island region. I was very delighted to attend and take part in this retreat; to learn about the spiritual traditions of my new home, to meet new, open-minded people, and to learn from someone whom I had such respect for.

Shimoji-Shima was the first island that we stayed at. The wonder of the lodge was a local Shaman and we visited several sacred sites there. We visited;
- A sacred cave which was shaped in the mouth of a dragon. We entered a sacred pool of water here to cleanse and purify ourselves.
- A beach full of powerful stones that had been brought in by a tidal wave. The Shaman informed us that the stones were aligned with the star constellation above.
- A Mermaid cave dating back to the times of Lumeria and Mu and
- A Sacred Spring filled with the energy of the dragons.

The last island which we went to was Ogami Island. It is the small dot on the map next to Ikema Island. Taking photos on Ogami Island is not allowed, so we will tell you about Ogami Island.

Ogami Island is very sacred and is looked after by local priestesses and their families. They have a small population and are quite closed off from the rest of the islands in Miyako and Japan in general, as to preserve their culture. In more recent times, people have been coming to Ogami Island without an awareness of the Island's significance and sacredness. As the average age of the people on this island is 70 years old, they are facing a situation where they need to pass on their wisdom and lineage to the next generation.

With all of this in mind, they are restricted to locals and family members. I pray that people find out about this place and support to preserve this place.

Following the end of this Mermaid Tour, Lucy, Ryoko, Makiko and I went to Kudaka Island, which we will cover in our next post.
