Just Breathe!

Deep in relaxation during Breath Work
Breathing deeply and meditation seem to go hand in hand.

I recommend that each of my Students and Clients learn to meditate so that they can deepen their connection to their Intuitive Abilities.

What happens when meditation doesn't work for them? Or what happens when they have difficulty meditating, like they fall asleep in meditation or they can't seem to switch their mind off?

When you think about breaking down meditation, what it is that we are actually trying to achieve? What path do we take to help ourselves relax, disengage from our thinking and become more centred?

While Meditation itself is a formal practice that can involve things such as chanting, movement, visualisation and so forth, what is it that really comes out of a meditative practice?

FOCUS!

Everyone is wired differently, so everyone will find something that works differently for them, so there isn't exactly a one-size fits all approach.

Or is there?

During my time as a School Teacher, I was very passionate about teaching my School Children to meditate; it helped them to focus, concentrate better, feel calmer and be more mindful of their behaviours, emotions and expressions.

I tried teaching visualisation. I brought in my singing bowl and tuning fork. I practiced Yoga with them. I've adapted based on their needs and ability to process (I taught in ESL and Special Education)

Once I started teaching them to engage with their breath and pay attention to it, I did discovered, that Breathwork worked for everybody!

Everybody breathes. It's just that simple.

But does everybody know how to breathe efficiently? Breathe to survive or breathe to thrive?

Reflecting on 2021: Embracing the Endless Wave

5/22/2022

Often, I like to reflect on the ways that my life unfolds. It's been a while since I've posted on my blog and today I felt like I needed to get back into it and show more presence here.

It's common for people to think that being Intuitive, Psychic or in communication with your Angels and Guides regularly means that you have all the answers or you'll be able to figure everything out and just cruise through life with a knowing of it all.

Maybe or maybe not?

Looking back, 2021 was painted with a theme of surrender. Surrender shows up when we are getting out of our comfort zones and going through a transition, a kind of transformation takes place as a process, a journey, and an experience.

The year started with moving homes, with the intention of being closer to the ocean and a change of environment.
Picture
Being closer to the ocean led me to meeting someone who could guide me through my long awaited desire to learn and practise cold and ice therapy to keep my wellbeing in check. At the same time, I also had another knee surgery, same spot, same knee, just 14 years later. This time, however, I felt like I recovered much faster and more efficiently which I attribute to a better relationship with my mind, body and spirit in my present year.

Learning to embrace the cold as my friend really helped me in pushing past old boundaries and limitations that I had imposed on myself.

Little did I know at the time, but this was the beginning of my next wave in the Ocean of life!

Through learning cold and ice therapy, I also developed an appreciation for Breathwork and these practices combined really helped me relax more. I thought I was pretty relaxed already, but these took it to the next level and out of that, actually came deeper connection to my Intuitive Abilities.
Picture

Through regular meetups in Breath Work and Cold-Exposure, I met the owner of the clinic that I started working at for 1:1 consultations,
after an 18 month hiatus from face to face sessions.

Further in the year, I sent out the intention to write again. I asked Archangel Michael for guidance on this one. I kid you not, that very same day, Michael Brooke, the Man behind the Skateboard Magazine "Concrete Wave",   contacted me about an article that I wrote based on Spirituality and Skateboarding back in 2013.
(A fun fact, the date the article was published, read the same date as his birthday!)

Our conversations and ideas around skateboarding and spirituality flowed and this eventually became a book that we co-authored together called “The Endless Wave: Skateboarding, Death & Spirituality”.

You can read it as a free eBook here.

The only book of its kind. Skateboarding, life, death and spirituality all in one place. Click here to read!
In 2021, time itself became more and more precious to me!

Despite being locked down for several months, I had the opportunity to spend more time with my family and be directly involved in my Son’s education. I had the opportunity to learn to connect with others in new ways, rekindle friendships and recognise who and what really mattered to me.

I enjoyed taking advantage of empty streets for skateboarding in usually pedestrian and employee populated areas.

I learnt to choose love over fear, courage over uncertainty, faith over false promises and it led me to connections that have brightened my life from a place of honesty, integrity and authenticity.
Picture
Each moment of life and death is precious and sacred!
I let go of my job as a Special Education Teacher. The wave had returned to the ocean!
I could have stayed in the feelings of strive but it didn't light me up anymore. I was taught valuable lessons in surrender and release, detachment and detoxing and a greater appreciation of life and death metaphors.

Embrace death through surrendering to the flow and embrace the life in new opportunities that emerge. Like a revolving door, like a wave that crashes to the shore and returns to the ocean.

With each death, comes rebirth. Like when a Volcano erupts and the lava cools, the rock forms new ground to walk on. A Soul that leaves its body finds a new way to exist.

Looking back at the events of 2021, this was also the year that I came to terms with accepting myself as a Medium. I've always had it in me since I was a Child and had been reading people for years, but still had that part of me that wanted to hide.

2021 taught me to surrender and in death came rebirth and I could wholly claim that part of myself. I undertook dedicated study and felt truly comfortable with the practice and idea of connecting with the deceased and helping the living.

Monarch Butterfly as a totem for life, death and rebirth.
Through my experience of the Endless Wave, I learnt to appreciate death.

By choosing to appreciate death, I learnt that life and all that takes place, constantly takes on new forms and is constantly shaped by the vessel of Love surrounding it.

2021 taught me to live life authentic and free; like a butterfly and not a caterpillar.

Have you been embracing the Endless Wave in your life recently?

See you again soon!

Picture
Hello everyone,
I'd like to introduce you to a new project of mine that has been brewing for some time now.

I've decided to combine my background experiences as a Classroom Teacher and a Clairvoyant Healer and am bringing the two together as "Clairvoyant in the Classroom".

Originally, I was heading in the direction of writing this as a book for Educators and Families, but the guidance that I was receiving was steering me in the direction of a website, community and resource centre for people to start connecting more with their intuition.

I'm at the beginning of my creative journey with this, but feel like I can really make an impact in the realm of education and empowerment. If you know me and my story, then you'll know that connecting people with their intuition has been a big passion of mine over the past 11 years in my practice.

This feels like a dream come true and now it's time for me to share my gifts beyond the classroom, beyond the therapy room and enlighten, empower and educate parents, teachers, children and communities.

You can check out my new website for Clairvoyant in the Classroom by clicking here

While it is still a work in progress, I'll be offering coaching for Teachers, Families and Children, to support them in intuitive development, energy and emotional awareness and conscious practices to support them at home, school and classroom. There'll be self-paced online courses, links to my past articles and work and I'm in the process of developing some handy home and classroom resources for emotional regulation, mindfulness, behaviour support and personal wellbeing and safety.

I've started a podcast that I'll be updating regularly and you can listen to it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Youtube.

I'll be posting most of my content and updates for Clairvoyant in the Classroom on the website, as well as on the Facebook and Instagram pages.

Thank you all for joining me on this journey and I look forward to connecting with you in other shapes and forms.

Blessings and love,
Nathan

I'd like to introduce you to my newest Ebook that I've coauthored with Michael Brooke, called "The Endless Wave: Skateboarding, Death and Spirituality"

The book is written in two halves, each representing two different perspectives.

The first half written by Michael reflects on his experiences as a former Skateboard Magazine Editor and now Funeral Home Assistant, while the second half has been written from my perspective, as a Clairvoyant Healer and a Skateboarder.

Our aim with this book has been to bridge the worlds of Skateboarding and Spirituality, start conversations around the nature of death and dying and support Skateboarders in understanding topics such as grief, acceptance, death and rebirth.

Endless Wave is available as a free PDF, which you can download below:

Skateboarding as Prayer and Meditation

5/14/2021

Skateboarding has been a big part of my life for over 20 years. I've always loved all things Skateboarding, just finding ways to be involved and keep the fire burning.

One of the big lessons that I've learnt through skateboarding is that as the years go by, your expression or interests can change, you might find a different way to skate or enjoy skating differently to when you first started out, yet your passion and enjoyment for it doesn't.

I've been pondering on this for a while and have had the realization that Skateboarding is a form of prayer and meditation. Skateboarders and Yogis may not think of these things being related or they may not consciously think of Skateboarding in this way.

I'd like to shred some light on some of these concepts.

Skateboarding as Prayer

I know this kind of philosophy can be applied to any other art form or sport, but Skateboarding, in my eyes, is so much more. It reaches into the realms of culture, lifestyle, a spiritual experience of it own kind.

I know that commonly, Prayers are thought of as an element of connecting with the Divine, commonly found in a religious kind of way. Prayer could also be defined as a powerful way to be in the present in the moment and a way of relating to the Divine, ourselves and others.

Prayer brings people together. Skateboarding brings people together. Those that pray together stay together. Those that play together stay together. You open each other up, you bond, you communicate, you raise the energy.

You find inspiration within and around you, you set out to learn something new or master it in your own way, you find a way to express this and you celebrate your successes, as do others.

You connect with history and become a part of paving and co-creating history. You draw on your inspiration from those who came before you and you become inspiration for those after you. The Skateboard experience is such a visual journey and so the representation of it found in artifacts such as photos and videos play such an important role in helping to connect Skateboarders across time and space.

I feel like this is where one connects with the Spirit of Skateboarding. When they pay their respects to the generations past, present and future, experience and enjoy the process of learning, expressing and sharing, in spirit of non-competitive, non-judgmental kinds of ways. Your Heart and Soul goes into Skateboarding when it is done with love and respect and there's something for everyone.

As you roll further along on this path, Skateboarding opens you up to other people and other interests, yet the mindset that you can experience from it stays with you for life.

This then leads us into the Meditative aspect of Skateboarding.
Skate Meditation
When you go into the zone to do your own thing, you transcend your own limits. You go beyond your doubts and fears. You might accomplish something that you look at differently when you are off your Skateboard.

I know that a lot of Skateboarders can relate to the feeling and process of learning and trying a trick.

From my experience, there are a lot of questions and a lot of factors to consider when Skateboarding.
For instance,
- what do your feet need to do?
- How should you position your body and body weight?
- What's happening in your surroundings?
- Are there other Skaters to look out for?
- What speed do I need to approach at?
- Are there any cracks? Are there oncoming pedestrians or traffic?
- Is there someone at the spot that will try to prevent you from Skating?
- What angle do you need to ride up to the obstacle at?
- What are your options if you need to jump off?
- Is the tripod, person filming or shooting set up and ready?
- When I eject my board, are they safe?
- Do I have a person Board-saving in case my Board goes onto the road or into the direction of other people?
- Is there rain or wind affecting my ability to skate this spot?

When reflecting on this, there are so many questions that would be asked, so many factors that could create a lot of mental chatter, yet the focus that Skateboarders require to do their thing, astounds me.
This is my friend, Dane Burman. He is one of the most influential Skateboarders who is pushing the limits of modern Street Skating. I honestly don't think he could skate the way he does if he wasn't in his state of
hyper-focus! Transcending the mind, going into the body and making his skate ideas in his imagination becoming a reality!

(If you're interested, take the time to read this interview of my friend, Dane Burman, whom I feel, really puts all of this into practice in the video and words that follow.)

Skateboarders require this kind of dedicated attention, while being able to answer these questions, let go of the distractions and be very present and in the moment. It can be easy to fixate on some of these questions while Skateboarding and feel stuck or think that certain feats are not possible. However with practice, one reaps confidence and with confidence, there is intention and desire. It's the meditation and trance-like experience of Skateboarding that gets us beyond all of the questions.

You might start with these factors and questions in mind when you get to your spot and you start warming up for your trick. You might start doing a few practise moves or start flicking your board. You might try and visualize what to do. You might start rolling around, finding that line, trying and committing to landing and roll if you're feeling it, if it feels good. You go above, below and through. You carve, kick turn  balance, grind, slide. You flip, catch, land. You roll away. The energy is high. You celebrate yourself. Your friends cheer you on. You replay the footage and see if it came out alright. You watch it again and again. You're on a high from your victory.

I know that there is a transformation of consciousness that takes place on a Skateboard.
To the uninitiated and outside onlookers, it might look like a wheeled, wooden toy. It might look like another "sport" choice. It might look like a dangerous, disruptive or juvenile activity that damages urban environments.

To the initiated, they are alchemists. They transform lead to gold. They transform their own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual limits. The alchemist tests their body, mind and spirit. They learn to let go, they learn to commit and trust themselves and their board. They experience what it feels like to roll away and to keep rolling along.

I know that these kinds of experiences evoke a sense of feeling high. They release a combination of feel-good brain chemicals such as Dopamine, Endorphins and Serotonin, which are great at leaving you feeling happy, sleeping better, releasing anxiety, stress and rolling into older age!
While medical research stipulates that the Pineal Gland calcifies in older age, leading to disrupted hormones, affecting things like sleep, moods and energy levels, amongst other things, research has also shown that meditative experiences contribute to healthy stimulation of the
Pineal Gland.

Skate-Meditation is the Fountain of Youth!

I know that Skateboarders know the feeling. They crave it. It keeps them youthful and I know that many Skateboarders see the world differently after these deep and meaningful experiences. They might not have the words to explain or explore this, but I think that Skateboarders are like Yogis.

The way they connect and be present in their bodies. The level of attention and focus to push themselves and open themselves up. They experience and traverse the world differently.

Skateboarding builds character. It connects one with their Soul. Though it can be seen as fast paced and noisy by some, it's meditation in movement. Skateboarders are pushed to be in their altered state quite quickly. This is how Skateboarding is enjoyed best - focussed and fun.

I recognize this when I see people skating and they're having fun. They're focussed and they're enjoying it because it's working for them. The days that it's not working, the day that boards get thrown around, deliberately broken, they're the days that there are distractions, other forms of interference getting in the way.

Skateboarding's message is simple.

Have fun. Find joy through play. Explore creativity through self-expression. Bond with others through sharing love. Focus on what you want rather than what you don't want. Become immersed in your inner and outer world. Meditate to appreciate. Appreciate to meditate. Go within. Share the feeling.
Roll forever.

This is the essence of Skateboarding.

Blessings and love,

Riding the (Concrete) Wave of Skateboarding, Life and Death

5/14/2021

Recently, I had another Knee Surgery, which has meant no Skateboarding for a while on one hand and on the other, it has brought me opportunities to connect more with myself.

I set the intention to write more productively every day and working on pieces of writing that I would actually share or contribute towards a bigger project. It's been a while but I'm ready and open! I've been mostly writing for myself, taking the time to introspect the past several years.

On that very day that I started writing, the words flowed like they always had. I took some time to centre myself, connect with my angels and guides. I wrote my title, set the intention for my topic and relaxed and breathed deeply.

Then my fingers started typing, while it felt like the words were being dictated to me inside my mind.

That is the power of Automatic Writing!

So that very afternoon, I received an Email from Michael Brooke, a humble man, known as the former editor of Concrete Waves Magazine. We connected after he read a post that I had written 8 years ago, titled "My Spirituality and Skateboarding"
Picture
I had mixed emotions receiving this email.

First, the name "Michael" is important to me, as it represents a connection to Archangel Michael, who usually shows up in my life to guide me when I ask for protection, safety, security and guidance on purpose-related questions. I've had many of these "Michael" experiences in my life that have been life-affirming, life-changing and have brought me a great sense of relief.

For instance, when I was in Hawaii, I hadn't booked a transfer from Kona airport to my hotel and I asked Archangel Michael to send someone to pick me up promptly. As soon as I said this, the driver who pulled up was picking up someone going in the same direction as me. The Driver's name was "Michael".

Or when I was seeking to move over and work in Okinawa to be with my Wife, I prayed and I was sought out by a name maned "Mike", who ran an English Teachers network and helped me with my internship, homestay experiences and future employment, business networking and different opportunities around the island.

For me, receiving Michael's message affirmed to me that I'm on the right path and writing and expressing myself more is definitely the way to go! So yes, I felt really excited about this life-affirmation!

Back to Concrete Wave, I was kind of speechless and in awe. I used to read Concrete Wave Magazine when I was a Teen. In a nutshell, it was a Skateboard magazine with inclusion at the forefront. All disciplines, all styles, all skateboarders. I grew up skating mostly on the streets as I didn't enjoy skating parks and loved exploring and filmography, so range and variety of locations was always my focus. I wasn't that interested in skating any other ways but felt that if others could find skateboarding and enjoy it in their own way, that was a really cool and inspiring thing.

Michael is also the author of one of the best books on skateboarding history, called "Concrete Wave - The History of Skateboarding". He recently sold the magazine and is now an Assistant Funeral Director in Toronto, Canada.

Michael shared with me about some of his experiences as an Assistant Funeral Director, his spiritual awakening and consequently the journey that followed after. Basically, Michael supports families through counseling and at funerary procedures for life after death.

Over the years, I've had my share of experiences with the grieving and dying, which usually take place some time after they have crossed over.

Imagine the kinds of healing partnerships that we can form if we had Funeral Directors on board to prepare the family for the dying and connecting with the Dearly Departed after.

A Tranquil Passage
Michael recently started a podcast called "A Tranquil Passage", which is all about exploring the sensitive topic of death and dying. Michael's intention is to use music, asking podcast guests to explore "10 songs they'd like to be remembered for at their funeral or end of life celebration" as a catalyst to opening up to the topic of death and dying.

I was a guest on Michael's Podcast recently, where we discussed some of our experiences with death and dying in my work and explored the 10 songs that I want to be remembered by (listed below).

You can listen to the full episode of the podcast on Spotify via this link or in the player below.
Thank you for the opportunity to connect in this way Michael!

I love that we have roots in Skateboarding, which builds up our foundations as people, then we grow, expand outside of that world and come back into it in another way. In this kind of light, we have the potential to bridge communities and worlds. I love that as people, we share a common interest or thread, which then becomes a celebration of the parts of the world that we each explore.

I know there are many more Skateboarders bridging different gaps in the world, inside and outside of their Skateboarding. If you are a Skateboarder or anyone who is interested in exploring different topics through this blog, please email me.

Blessings and love,

Which Clair Are You?

2/13/2021

Time and time again, I know this for a fact, that being intuitive or psychic is a natural and innate skill that we all have. By exploring and expressing it, it's like we are giving thanks, celebrating and getting to know ourselves on another level, which could be likened to discovering more to love about the wonders of this Human form that we are in.

Everything in this world is based on movements of energy. Vibrations. Our bodies are fine-tuned instruments that can pick-up on these movements of energy through our Hearing, Feeling, Seeing and Thinking.

While being intuitive or psychic is a whole-body experience that engages all the senses, it's important to be able to recognize how they operate and express themselves through your body. Once you are able to identify which Clair-sense is your strongest or most favored, then you'll be able to develop the other ones too.

Think of them like four-cylinders in an engine. One gets fired up and helps to get the others going and they combine their efforts to then deliver the power they were designed for.

The same will be for your intuition. You may experience your intuition mostly through your favored sense and then your others may come into play to solidify or to confirm your sensations.

Please read and complete the short quiz below:

i) When you first meet someone new, what is it that you remember most?

a) The conversation that you had with them, the sound of their voice and their name.
b) The way that you feel around them, their smell and the way that you felt when in their presence.
c) The way that they look, their clothes, appearance and facial features.
d) The thoughts or ideas that came to mind about that person.

ii) When you have finished watching a movie, what do you remember the most?

a) The soundtrack, songs and the dialogue in the film.
b) The feelings and emotions that you experienced during the film.
c) The costumes, scenery and visuals of the film.
d) The thoughts and ideas that you had about the film afterwards.

iii) When asked to visualize your ideal car, what would you do first?

a) Imagine the sound of the car, the noise of the engine or the horn.
b) Imagine how you would feel when driving this car.
c) Imagine the color of the car and draw it piece by piece in your mind.
d) Think of the idea of a car, think of the different types of cars and choose one from your memory of cars.

Picture
- Mostly a's - Clairaudience - 'Clear Hearing' -

You experience your intuition through your hearing and the sensation of sounds and vibrations. Your intuition literally speaks to you in sound and your hear it.

It could be the whispers of Spirit into one of your Ears. Or perhaps it could be that you overhear a conversation that relates to the very topic that you were enquiring about.

Or maybe you turn on the TV or radio and you happen to hear a song whose lyrics sing about the question that you had in mind?

When recalling a memory of past events, you might connect mostly with the sounds of the scene and the conversation that you had with others.

Picture
- Mostly b's - Clairsentience - 'Clear Feeling' -

You experience your intuition through the feelings in your body.

Your body literally tightens up or relaxes and eases as you think about different situations, questions and inquiries.

Your body responds to picks up on the energy of a room, the feelings and emotions of others and you generally just feel the overall vibe of a person, place, thing or situation.

When recalling a memory, you might connect deeply with the emotions that you experienced. Others might have called you 'too-sensitive' in the past, but recognize this as a gift!

Picture
- Mostly c's - Clairvoyance -  'Clear Seeing' -

You experience your intuition through the things that you see with your Eyes open or closed.

You might recognize that you are highly imaginative. You might experience this through vivid dreams or being shown images or impressions during meditation.

Or you might see flashes of color and light out of the corner of your Eye. Or you might see flash up images of the things that you are enquiring about.

You might have a visual memory and you are able to replay situations of your memories like movies in your Mind.

You might also be very observant and see the very fine details of an image, artwork, person, place or thing.

Picture
- Mostly d's - Claircognisiance - 'Clear Thinking' -

You experience your intuition through your thoughts and the ideas that come to mind.

You have a deep sense of knowing about certain situations, questions or inquiries with no real knowledge of how you actually know the information.

The ideas and knowledge of different topics might reach out to unknown or new topics that you are unfamiliar with.

Deep down inside of you, there's this part of you that has access to a greater wealth of information than you realize.

You might be called a 'know-it-all', because you naturally are.

You may have identified one or multiple senses that you favor, which is absolutely fine as well. By reading and learning more about each sense, you'll be exposed to some ways that these senses can operate through you and how you can experience them more.

By strengthening each sense, you'll be fine-tuning your intuitive abilities, which can then have an overall amazing, empowering and inspiring impact on your everyday life.

Stay tuned for our upcoming posts which will be exploring more about strengthening and enhancing the 4 Clairs for everyday wellness.

Blessings and love,
Nathan and Friends

You Can Do It!

Each and every one of us is intuitive.

We are all born this way and it is a natural, instinctive part of us.

Intuition could be that innate feeling in your body, like a clench in the Gut that makes you stop and consider your choices carefully, or that surge of relaxation and calm through your Spine which brings you a sense of relaxation and calm, that everything is going to be ok.

Some words we use to describe 'intuitive' and 'intuition' as a 'hunch'. You know like that feeling you get when you've been thinking of someone all day and then you see them in the street? Or that moment that your phone rings and you know who it is that's calling?

Regardless of our age, we all have the ability to do this. I know this for a fact. I've been both the student and the teacher, working with people from all walks of life; People from Corporate, Education, Spiritual, Non-spiritual backgrounds. Adults and Children and their families in Coaching, Healing Sessions and Workshops.

What is your definition of intuition? How are you working with it in your everyday life?

There are many ways to experience intuition. For instance, some of you may be more inclined to experience through Touch, by picking up on physical sensations through the body.

You might feel others' emotions very deeply, you might feel very subtle changes in the air pressure around you.

Others may experience it through their dreams, seeing images in their mind with eyes opened or closed, or maybe you might be very observant and take notice of very fine details, that provide you with valuable information about the world within and around you.

You might be working on a creative project and before you even begin, you can already see what the finished result will look like because you can visualize it very clearly.

Intuition is like a muscle, a skill, a part of your overall development and presence in the world that you can develop!

Stay tuned, watch this space as we will explore some of these pathways in upcoming blog posts.

It is my prayer and intention that more people discover the joys of working with their intuition in empowering, responsible and safe ways to support them in living aligned with their inner truth and their full potential.

Have a great day!

Blessings and love,
Nathan and Friends

When you take a look at the world and everything happening in the world, you might think that on a global scale, it might seem unfair to bring a child into the world of all of these pains, trials and challenges. To come from a place where the energy is light and pure into this realm where it is dense and there is fear surrounding. The world is not really as dark as it seems, despite what you think may be going on. Yes there are all of these different things happening around the world, people, natural occurrences, the everyday grievances that take place, so what do we do about it?

We work together, towards making change, making a difference and then we call in our children, we share our values, we teach, we model, we set examples through living and leading by experience, so that we can break the cycle, we unite together to serve a common purpose, rather than being separated, rather than being against each other. We become free of the old ways and write new ones, to establish concurrent growth, sharing, cooperating and attending to Earth's needs once and for all.

This is why children are so needed in this world. Especially at this, more than ever, they are needed to raise the vibration of the planet. To lift up those old systems in place. There's no denying it, that change is inevitable and is taking place all the time. Each generation advanced upon the previous one. Each generation builds upon the former, wherein they learn, they grow, their shared consciousness across the mindstream, informs them awares of the patterns and outcomes of the past. It's all happened before, and now is the time to realise how significant these young ones are.

They look to the grown ones, although they are not always the ones to see as more superior, it never is that way, that superiority or greater knowledge be deemed because of a greater amount of time in this world, but rather it is based on their values, their actions, their example. What is it that one can do to earn the respect of the young ones? Act with integrity, treat them with respect, act in ways that represent truth, justice and honour of the sacred.

Why is it that children are answers to prayer? Because people having been praying for change. People have been praying for solutions. People have been praying for peace. The way to it is not going to happen in an instant or overnight. It is, however going to happen and is happening right now all over the world as children arrive, they have their mission and purpose in the contexts of family, personal ambition and global ambition, they learn from the world they are brought up in and they immerse themselves in ways that are nurturing for their growth and their pocket of the world that they inhabit.

They are doing the same process that you are, as do all generations. The experience is not the same, but the process itself is. The cycle continues to turn. As energy becomes lighter with every generation and more and more generations inspire each other, time and time again, the one who wields the keys to greater change on this Earth is you. In the ways that you serve the world and the ways that you treat others.

Be respectful, be a role model, be inspiring as you are inspired. Be the incredible being you were meant to be and treat others like you can perceive and embrace all that they are meant to ever possibly be. See the full potential in each and all, see their divinity as you see it within yourself.

We're all in this together, in one way or another.

Blessings and love,

How Are We Alive?

Recently my 5 year old Son asked me how we are alive and the answer I gave him made me think more about this.

If I were to ask you that or if a child were to ask you that, what is the simplest way that you could answer that?

I wanted to sound as simple as I could and answered him something like this; ‘we are alive because there is a living, life-energy that is inside us and every plant, animal and living thing that makes it come to life.’

Thinking about this today, made me reflect on the significance of our life-force energy flow (chi, ki, prana) and how we interact with it every day, every moment, be it physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

If we are alive and this magnificent, living force is flowing through each and all of us, to animate us, bring life and can be expressed through our bodies, worlds and creations, how do we manage and maintain a powerful, natural flow of this without compromising our health, wellbeing and general sense of connectedness with ourselves and the world?

What can we do to manage our flow and be in the flow? What can we do to enjoy the feeling of connecting to this flow within and all around?

This can be said as simply as, ‘what can we do to ensure that we feel uplifted, energised and truly alive?’

Firstly, we can start with breath. Breathing deeply, inhaling into the belly and exhaling up the spine can be a great way to connect with the life-force energy that travels through us with every breath. My Yoga Teacher reminded me of this when she explained it during class one day as something along the lines of "inhale, expand your energy, your being, exhale, ground and connect with the Earth."

Surely, with our abundance of life-force energy flowing throughout us, there is plenty to go around and more than enough to share!

Becoming aware of our emotions and making peace with the past can support us in recognising which experiences we have lived through which hold us back on a cellular level. Our cells and bodies can store emotions so it can be helpful to regularly communicate with your body to discover where any areas of tension may be. Breathe into these areas and gently massage them, bathe in magnesium salts to release tension, work with a kinesiologist to release deeply trapped emotional energy. Eat living vibrant foods and drink lots of water to keep your body, mind and spirit nourished. Learn about the potency and power of your sexual energy, circulate it throughout your body and let this energy that creates life, supercharge your creativity.

Do that which allows you to release resistance to life.

Do that which brings you joy.

Do that which brings you into a state of bliss.

Do what you love and love what you do.

In the allness of you, you welcome life. When you welcome life, life welcomes you and all are destined to thrive.

Blessings and love,
